We were at Dallas Mustang yesterday. They now have this console in their catalog, but didn't have one in the store for us to look at. They can order it. It is a bit more than the one I saw on ebay, but they do offer free shipping.

Bought my console on eBay several years ago for $120.

Prepped and painted using the proper technique all around.

Consulted a friend who does Concours restoration work on

early Mustangs. After about 1 1/2 years the paint began to

blister and peel off. My only guess is the paint was bad.

Mike,

Soooooo many people use armor all on their vehicles it was probably that. You can wash it and clean with everything but it gets into the plastic and paint will just not stick or will fish eye. Never use armor all on anything you intend to paint or have it in your garage. It will shut down a paint shop. I would never use it on anything.

That makes sense. I don't use Amor All and have heard other reasons

like it will leach from your dashboard and stick to the windshield

making it difficult to clean. Guess I will just sand off the paint and

leave it the original black. Black would fit in with the dash.

It's indeed good news for 123 owner's who are in need but at that price I'm glad I'm not one of them still it's good news just in case I ever do.
