new classic console installed

I really like the quality of the new classic console I put in. the old one was not original and was really cheap.

what I don't like is the shifter boot situation.  the current boot is screwed to the trans tunnel.  anyone have any ideas on how to put a good looking boot onto the classic console?

The console in the picture on the left is a factory console, but you're missing the plate over the shifter with the clock. The shift boot appears to also be an original Ford unit for the 72-73 factory Hurst round stick shifter. Factory boot was bolted to the top of the trans tunnel. I don't run a console any more, it gets in the way of my elbow when shifting the four speed.

Does the manufacturer of the console have any universal boots that fit their console? If not, I would measure the size of the opening and go online to see what you can find that will fit both the opening and the shaft. There's a large variety on Amazon, including ones from Hurst and Dorman.

its a bluetooth remote for the stereo amp.

I added a shifter boot. I think it will work. the classic console metal surface has a couple of screws that can be loosened and I will sandwich the base of the boot between the layers of the console. that should give it a more finished look. right now its just tucked into the opening
