1971 Fastback small block, now 429.
Figured I'd share a couple pics of my money pit lol. I always wanted bigger disc up front, but knew I had to go to a bigger rim. So off came the 15's and on went the 17's. I followed some advice on here and went 245/45-17 up front and 315/35-17 on the rear. Nitto G2's on Torque Thrust M wheels. Fits like a glove and even got to keep my rear sway bar which I was afraid I might have to lose for clearance. Went with Cobra 11" disc on the rear and Cobra 13.2" disc up front. This car has never handled or stopped so good! Next comes axle upgrades, tru-trac and fuel injection. Hopefully when the weather clears I can get better pics.

That looks really good. The tires looks very close to the springs!

What rear sway bar do you have (OEM or add on). Do you have any pics showing the sway bar? I have an add on sway bar, forget when I got it from, and I have the same concern you did.

sweet sexy car porn, love it! And he has a lift in his garage now I am really jealous! Want a lift so bad.

It's an Addco sway bar. I'll try to get some better pics. I have about 1" clearance between the spring and tire. The rear of the car is dropped 2" also.

The fronts are 4.5" backspace and the rears are 6.8".

Thanks for all the compliments! I keep saying I'm done with this car as I want to work on something else for awhile, but I keep finding myself wanting to upgrade this and that. It never ends.

Mate I have been thinking of upgrading the meat on mine as well. Did I you have to roll your fenders?

Looks killer. 6.8" backspace and it cleared the inner panel at the front inside corners? Did you hear that Jeff73Mach1???

I'll try to get more detailed pictures. I didn't have to roll the fender lip and it cleared everything on the inside fine.

Also how wide are your rims mate.

Love the look. I'm running 255s front and 295s rear. Would love to have 275s front and 315s rear. Let's not forget the Nitto cross section is a bit more narrow than other brands.

8" up front and 10.5" on the rear.

Thanks mate I have 8" all round on 245/35/17 right now and they don't fill out my wheel well on the back as much as I would like.
