After an 18 month wait this finally came in this week. Couldn't resist getting one of these and I decided to just go for it. Didn't want to pay for the dealer markups so I had to shop around until I could get one but I think it was worth the wait. Here are some pictures of what I finally decided on.

You have sinned sir!
My first choice was a Heritage GT350R but the markups were ridiculous and I refuse to do pay over MSRP for a car. I wanted it to be the same color as my 73 but looks like I'll never get one unless a good deal comes along.

That's a very cool car for just fun, too!

Well done, Sir, congratulations! A cool color combination, too. Have fun, John!

And do not forget to keep us up to date with the Roadrunner - I am waiting... 😉

Yeah, I have been slacking off with the RoadRunner. Hopefully soon, currently trying to organize my parts and get motivated to start work on it again.

Beautiful car! Great colors! My next door neighbor has a red one, he has let me drive it and it is a incredible car. It has a full out race car feel to it. He has taken me on rides where he was driving it like he stole it and the car performed.

Let us know how you like it. One of the guys from our race club ended up selling it after a month under the claim that he couldn't feel the engine - it was too smooth. I thought it was interesting but everyone is different.

Sexy! It's a good combination to have an old school analog Mustang and something technologically advanced like that Corvette. Completely different driving experiences but both enjoyable in their own way. You've got to hand it to Chevrolet and what they have done with the Corvette.

Witch! Witch! Where's the burning stake? Witch! Witch!

Well I've had this for a couple of months now and here are some things i like about it. It is definitely fast and handles well. I like the ability to alter the suspension feel and engine performance by selecting touring and anything in between up to track mode. In touring it swtches engine performance using AFM (shuts off 4 cylinders) and gets up to 32 mpg and in track its constantly set to v8 and mpg goes to around 22 mpg. Overall driving this car is like night and day when comparing it to my mustang.
Things I don't like is GM didn't design some things very well. The first issue is the grille for the front radiators. The honeycomb design is too large letting large objects to pass through and damage the grilles. I had to install smaller honeycomb sections behind to fix that issue. The side vents didn't have any grilles at all so I had to install some for the radiatos there
The next issue was water getting in the front struts when washing the car or from rain and rusting the nuts and bolts where the water collects. Fixed this by placing covers over the 2 front struts and a water diverter on the windshield water bottle.
The tires are wide and the issue was with rocks hitting the side of the car so I had to replace the oem ones with new wider rock guards on to fix this.
Lastly you can't jack up the car because the fiberglass body is close to the jacking points and you willcrack the body unluss you put puck on those jacing area. I put some ics to show you what I did.

Sorry this was so long. If you have any questions let me know.

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention one feature that I use all the time. On the picture with the car parked in the single garage you'll notice the rear back drivers side tire is on the edge of a black rubber mat that is as wide as the wheels track. I use this with the forward looking camera to line up to enter the garage. The carpet at the nose of the cars tells me when I am in far enough to close the garage doors and is displayed by the forward downward looking camera and tells me when to stop when i reach the last set of squares on the carpet.

The second picure is the camera display in the car. The two orange lines are the width of the car, the 2 gray lines are the tire track so I just line it up with the front tire with the left side of the carpet with the forward looking camera. I drive in until I see the last square of the carpet with the top dowm camera.

I get the some positioning everytime I park.

My neighbor next door has a 2021 ZL1 and he has already put a deposit down and is on a waiting list for a Z06 and he's going to trader in the 2021 on that. He said it might be two years before he gets one.
