Hi everyone!
I am restoring a 71 mach 1 Fastback.
Pictures below, is there anyone who can tell if these seats are from the factory or not?
What first threw me off is the fact that the handle on the back is in the center, but from what i can find online the handle on 71-73 seats are located more to the side?
Also i have hinge covers (d1zb 6561635)
From what i can find on google those hinge covers are for both mustang and cougar.

Any help would be greatly appreciated since i (obviously) are going to order new upholstery.

Thanks in advance
Alex

The seats look original, the upholstery most certainly is not. They are from 1971 or early '72 given the position of the seat back release handle.
Thank you so much for the fast and good info!
Now i wont need to cancel my upholstery order, got nervous there for a second :D

They look similar but my 72 has the latch at the door side of the seat... And mine are comfortweave so the padding design is different. And an early 72 so I have lap belts no retractor belts. 1657124790804.png

If you need to replace the mounting seat slides, reproductions are available on ebay. On my drivers seat, the left rear mounting tab broke clean off. I thought I was screwed or that I would have to find someone to weld it back on but then I found the repros. Mine are in fair to poor condition because of rust and age. I'll replace the passengers slide mount later as these are just south of $200 for each seat.
