73 Grande will undergo three phase build process. Phase 1 is complete (driver). Phase 2 is interior/exterior restoration. Phase 3 is ++ performance.
In my haste (where have I heard that before) to drive my car around the block, I forgot to tighten the passenger side LCA adjuster bolt. The result was, the cam bolt put too much side load in the cam stop “box” and bent it flat to the LCA. When I tried to straighten it back, it broke off. So, now, my question.

I‘m guessing I can detach the LCA without disturbing the spindle and UCA stuff. Everything is new, so I’m going to drop the LCA at the frame connection and attempt to clean the crossmember area (as in, remove paint, etc) and Re-weld a new piece to form the “box” that is the cam, using the cam to make sure the “box“ is the right size. Sound good?
