I want to replace my original spindles. They have damage created over the years around the outer bearing area probably by someone now knowing what they were doing. This damage is not allowing the bearing to seat completely leaving a bit of a play. Since I track and AutoX my car I prefer to get new spindles for safety. That said, there are a few options out there with very different pricing.
NPD's are $283, which they just increased in price. https://www.npdlink.com/product/spindles-front-disc-brake/148561/200341?year=1971
Then, there are TCP's for $449. https://www.cachassisworks.com/p-1722-mustang-70-73-disc-brake-spindles-oem-style.aspx
After emailing with both companies I can't get enough information about the differences between these two. Any thoughts? Are there other options? What do TCP's have over NPD's to be $160+ more expensive?
