Rear bumper question

Question, are those two holes in the bumper (see pic) original? When I got my 73, it had a trailer hitch, which I removed, with the two big bolts coming from those holes. I looked on-line at bumpers, but none that eliminated my question. Thanks, Steve

I don't have the holes in the bumper my '73. In fact mine doesn't look as tall as yours.

Those holes were for the trailer hitch, not a factory setup.

No, it’s a stock 73; mine is missing the rear valance, which tricks the eye I believe. Thanks Hemi.

Not original. Back in the day I added a trailer hitch and drilled holes like yours. Just add two chrome bumper bolts in the holes to dress it up.

When I got my car, only that hoop piece of the hitch remained, bolted to the bumper with two very rusty bolts. But putting chrome bumper bolts is a great idea, Thanks OLE Pony.
