Geeeeeeezus, he's holding the back of that Camaro up with a bumper jack, on a brick, and, leaning on the car like that's no big deal ! Just try to jack up your 71-73 Mustang by the rear bumper, ......you'll be buying a new bumper AND taking your car to the body shop to replace the tail light panel. To be honest with you all, I wasn't aware those year Camaros even came with bumper jacks. You can see daylight on the ground under the front, so he's got the engine and trans out, possibly the rear end. But, you just know he's a master mechanic because he's posing with a crescent wrench in his hand , yeah buddy......

At least the concrete block is turned the right way.

There’s no way. Those bumpers aren’t any better than our Mustang bumpers, and how’s the car sitting level? Photo shop?

While I don't wear white shorts and socks to install engines' I always wear my coveralls and train hat. You just know, if you've ever installed an engine, that you're going to be getting up - and- down, crawling under, leaning over the car, and generally getting filthy. When I was in High School, I bought some Army green coveralls from Pennys, to wear under the cars, and have had a pair ever since, still do to this day. This photo is about 1990. It was a comfortable Spring day, installing a new heavily leaned-on Joe Mondello 455 Olds into my cherry 442, oldies playing on the ghetto-blaster, working in the serenity of my garage, and taking a break for a Pepsi. Nirvana........

I used to jack up my 455 cid olds custom cruiser station wagon with one of these. (5500 pounds or so)
I had to use my bumper Jack on my wagon last week to fix it, broken down on the side of the road.

I remember if you flipped the bumper jacks to lower the car after changing a tire, you could get them to ratchet all the way down on their own... sometimes pretty damned quick!

I think you scored with that Wagon. For some time now, the Nostalgia Drag Racer crowd has been snatching up all the 60s wagons to use as push-vehicles for their vintage dragsters. My family had a '68 Country Squire, that Dad ordered new, optioned with a 428, h/d cooling, traction-loc, and engine dress-up kit, to tow the boats with. I took my Driver's license Test in it. That wagon could light the tires! You can barely see it in this photo.
