Hi all,
Do we have a thread devoted to identifying tools? I have picked up some odd stuff at auctions over the years and would like to find out what some of these items are for. A quick search of our forums didn't seem to come up with anything. If I missed one, let me know. This could be fun.

Or is there some kind of wiki out there that is easy to navigate with lots of pictures to help I.D this stuff?

Well, I think you just started something. Seems there are several of us that would have fun with this thread.

Now post up some of your more curious tool finds for us to view and opine!

I'm still trying to figure this one out....

I've had this old ruler for many years. Scale doesn't match imperial or metric measurements. Possibly and engineering scale?

Thanks Don, the yellow tape is my new one. 😊 It's the timber one that's the mystery. It's graduated from 0 to 90. From the 0 point, each 10 points gradually reduces. ie 0 to 10 measures 2-15/32". 80 to 90 measures 1-13/16" Two brass pin points are on the lower edge at 0 and 60 points.
