Nice truck and it tows my 40' 5th wheel just fine. Not great on fuel economy but for long trips where the trailer isnt going its been cheaper to rent a car vs pay for diesel and the wear and tear. Thought about doing a tune to it but so far just a CAI.

My daily driver:

1985 Toyota Celica-Supra P-Type 5-Speed

IMAG0036-1.jpg

I only drive this car about 4 miles a day. Work is close by. May buy a bike and use that during summer. Great car. Hoping to get it working well enough to use as an autocrosser in STX.

My girlfriend's daily driver:

2012 Hyundai Accent GLS Sedan

She gets the dependable car since she has the kids to handle. That and she drives a lot more than I do (and thus better gas mileage). Awesome little car that's safe and reliable.

My new daily driver is a 2000 Explorer XLT V6 4x4 that was my wife's daily driver up until April 2012 when she got her new daily driver a 2013 Mustang convertible pony pkg V6 premium. My old daily drivers are my 89 GT 25th anniversary that I bought new and my 2007 F350 Lariat crew 4x4 PSD FX4 that I special ordered for towing my 40ft 5th wheel toy hauler. They are now both semi retired from daily driver status.

What a nice thread! :p

Shame on us that nobody is using the 71-73 stang as daily driver!! (i actually did that for a few months last year!)

Well.. this is my daily (when it works!!)

It is a 1990 Alfa Romeo 75 2.0 twin spark that I literally rescued from a decade of being sit... I had every problem you can imagine to make it run and it still gives me glorious headaches often... Imagine that in here, there are absolutely no parts for this car... neither asthetics nor mechanics so... i´m always patching things...

Anyways.... i love the little red car!! Here it is!!

The dumb guy blocking the good view of the car is me :p

Haha you guys will love this gem!!! 2001 Ford Escort 105000 miles. Bought it for $500 a couple years ago. They said the motor was bad. i got it home and all it needed was a timing belt. $35 and i was on the road. This car is tiny! i feel like a monkey f*@&%&g a football driving it but it gets around 30-32 mpg and in 2 years i havent done anything to it other than tires and oil changes. I am just over 6ft tall and around 240lbs so i dont fit that well but its cheap ride back and forth to work.

We bought one of these for our middle daughter to drive while she was in college. It was a fun car to drive with a 5 speed manual. Unfortunately someone pulled out in front of her and it was totalled.

For back and forth to work (which will not be much longer) I use this little black Honda 400. It is 32 years old and runs perfect. We bought it for my youngest daughter for $300 when she got her motorcycle endorsement. She lost interest in riding so it is my daily driver to work.

For other times I split between my 2012 Mustang, 1996 BMW R1100RT with sidecar, and my 1997 BMW K1100LT.

06' Dodge Durango, 4.7L

Gets the job done, although gas mileage stinks. It was my dad's company car that I bought off of him with 9K miles on it in 06'. 154K miles and only 1 transmission rebuild I think I am doing ok. When the 72 is done I will be trading in for a new Ram with the Hemi and 8 speed tranny. They are indicating 24 MPG with this combo.

Thats funny, Mine was wrecked and totaled too!! Last February a lady ran a stop sign and bang. It got my hood, radiator, ac condensor, rad support, headlight, and bumper. I made out on the deal. Her insurance gave me $3800 for my car. They said it was totaled. The airbags didnt even go off. I bought it back for $480. Parts from a boneyard to fix mine ran me $250. Inspection and R title cert was another $150. So my $500 beater car made me $2900. Not a bad deal. Pain in the butt!! But not a bad deal :)

Here's my daily driver: 1997 Dodge Ram 1500 4x4 w/126,000 miles on the ticker. Bought it in Nov '99 - still lovin' it. But when my Mach 1's done, it'll get parked for a much deserved rest.

I think I remember starting a thread like this a long time ago...

Ok, here are mine:

I had posted the new Alfa a few weeks ago. That one is mostly driven by my wife.

The other one is a 2011 VW Golf (2.0TDI with DSG trans) that I usually use:

And during the summer, when the weather is fine I usually drive this daily :) :

My daily driver for many years in rain, hurricane or sunshine. 1979 Thunderbird, Chamois Glow, 302-2v, FMX short-case, with 300,000-400,000 miles on body and motor; changed out the instrument cluster many times so lost track of precise mileage. Runs perfect. Everything works, even the 70's version of Ford A/C. Life is too short to drive a boring car.
