What 5 songs could you absolutely not live without in your mustang? Thought it might be fun to see what everyone's must playlist while cruising is!

Yes, I'm a child of the 70's. That means Am radio before radio format stations, so I can go from Osmonds to Parliament faster than a ford beating a chevy!

Bonus Song: Throw in that song that you turn down at the stop light so no one hears you jamming to it. Don't act like it's never happened :)!

1. Born to Run....and yes I did race on the circuit in NJ...Bruuuuce!

2. Dance the night away (van halen)

3. September (earth, wind and fire)

4. Blame It on the Boogie (Jacksons)

5. Take it Easy (Eagles)

Bonus: Thank God I'm a Country Boy (John Denver)

Have fun!

Songs I jam to in any car (in no particular order) this week (it changes pretty much weekly):

1) The Pusher - Stepenwolf

2) In the Gallery - Dire Straits

3) Cortez the Killer - Neil Young's Live Rust

4) Stranglehold - Ted Nugent

5) Time - Pink Floyd

Bonus Track: Happiness can't buy money - Tom Tom Club

Next week, it might be:

1) Legend of a mind - Moody Blues

2) Down by the River - Neil Young

3) Comfortably Numb - Pink Floyd

4) Valentine - Bryan Ferry and Mark Knopfler

5) Papa Was a Rolling Stone - The Temptations

Bonus Track: Outside - The Fixx

More bonus tracks :)

Home - Depeche Mode

Roller Coaster - The Ohio PLayers

Sabrosa - The Beastie Boys (sounds like 70's porn music)

I could go on for a LONG time :D

Great thread idea!!!

Mine is more about particular styles of music. ZZ Top, AeroSmith, etc...

Some songs... La Grange (zz), Come together & Sweet Emotion (AeroSmith), Welcome to Jungle (Guns N Roses), Dr. Feelgood (Motley Crew)

I love music, especially Classic Rock, Funk, the Blues, Folk Rock, and even some Disco from the mid/late 60's thru the 80's and some into the 90's.

Another week:

1) Bloody Well Right - Supertramp

2) Imaginary Lover - Atlanta Rythm Section

3) I'd Love to Change the World - 10 Years After

4) Cheap Sunglasses - ZZ Top

5) Treetop Flyer - Stephen Stills

Another week:

1) Babylon Sisters - Steely Dan

2) Children of the Sun - Billy Thorpe

3) Stealin' - Uriah Heep

4) Under Pressure - Queen & David Bowie

5) Long Cool Woman in a Black Dress - The Hollies

Bonus Tracks:

Lady - Styx

Wildfire - Michael Murphy

Son of a Preacher Man - Dusty Springfield

Holdin' on to Yesterday - Ambrosia

2.Heart Dog and Butter fly.

NEW BEGINNING CAR SHOW 2013 125.JPG

nice thread

1. Radar Love - Golden Earring

2. I can't drive 55 - Sammy Hagar

3. Free for all - Ted Nugent

4. Flirtin with disaster - Molly Hatchett

5. Rockin into the night - .38 Special

*****on a side note I seen "Son of a preacher-man" on here. A really good friend of mines dad wrote that song. She gets royalties every time its played**************

5a. Saturday Night Special-Lynyrd Skynyrd

5b. Learning to Fly- Pink Floyd

4. IN the Evening- Led Zeppelin

3 Comfortably Numb- Pink Floyd

2. Footsteps- Pearl Jam

1. Gimme Back My Bullets- Lynyrd Skynyrd

Can't you See Marshall Tucker Band just missed the cut.

All bets are off after I install the Retrosound Model 2 in there, because I'll put the 32GB flash drive on shuffle and call it good.

For the purposes of this though:

1. Fear Factory (w/ Gary Numan) - Cars

2. Rammstein - Du Hast

3. Judas Priest - Turbo Lover

4. Motley Crue - Kickstart my Heart

5. Van Halen - Dreams

WAY too many tunes to list:

Van Halen - Runaround

Def Leppard - Rocket

Whitesnake - Here I go again

Scorpions - Rock You like a Hurricane

Metallica - Enter Sandman

I could go on...

... but I won't. Suffice it to say, I've got stuff from AC/DC, to Yanni (don't laugh), to Bach, to ZZ Top, to Brooks & Dunn, to the Santa Clara Vanguard and everything in between.

One of my very favorites is Grimethorpe Colliery Brass Band's version of William Tell Overture (from the movie Brassed Off) - SO much more 'alive' than the traditional full symphonic version. That gets blasted A LOT in the Ram. ;)

I'm a musician myself and love a lot of different styles (depends on my mood) but I tend to fall back on some favorites.

entire album Flirtin with disaster...Molly Hatchet

entire album self titled Boston...Boston (of coarse)

any AC/DC

any Sammy Hagar

any Brad Paisly

As you can see I like killer guitar

Dragon attack...Queen

any Stevie Ray Vaughn

Aerosmith

Any 38 special

And this one will get most of you scratching your heads in wonder...any Tony Rice...if you don't know him, he is one of the very best acoustic guitar players ever...look him up

The very first song I plan to play on my car's maiden voyage will be "Born To Be Wild" by Steppenwolf.

I don't know about "live without" but I think my top 5 fav driving songs would be (In no particular order)

Too Much, Too Young, Too Fast - Airbourne

You Wreck Me - Tom Petty

Where are we Running - Lenny Kravitz

Movin On - Joe Satriani

Eminence Front - The Who
