Eric,

Turkey was really cool, wish I could have had more time there. I bet you got to see a lot of things while you were stationed there that tourist would not normally see. Much more history there than I realized.
Did your cruise ship stop in Izmir, or Kuşadası? Just a short distance from Ephesus was also the Basilica of John the Baptist (ruins, of course), as well as the last known home of the Virgin Mary. You could actually see the castle from the top of the theater in Ephesus. I just looked at a Google map of Ephesus and was blown away at how much more they've uncovered since I was there. There was only about 100 yards of trail past the Library of Selcuk, but I can see they've opened up a LOT more... including another theater!! SO Cool!!

I'll bet you had a great time. ::thumb::
We stopped at Izmir. We did go to the Basilica and that was also pretty cool. Ephesus is really a large archeological dig. Could have probably spent the whole day there alone. Istanbul is also another good stop. We got to spend 2 days there which was really enjoyable.

Fjordland on the same day as the snow shots, land of a thousand waterfalls and huge sheer mountains, awe inspiring place,Remembering that I live in a hot dry flat part of the world. How I would love to hunt Wapati in here

I have been a few places but it all started here for me. I'm the red hat kid.

The Central African Republic.
Mate that is awesome you would have to have some great memories being a child of Africa. For years I have wanted to hunt lord derby elland in the CAR, now I would be happy just seeing 1.

Oh. My. Gawd. Those mountain pictures are almost too much for me. I'm SO missing my home in SLC, Utah right now. Beautiful pics, guys! ::thumb::

I took a gang of wildly old rascals from Dallas to Greenville, N.C. to the Honda Hoot of 1997. This was a minor required stop off at Jack Daniels. My Wing that I've always claimed to own sits in the foreground

Yeah Luke, the nights and early mornings were beautiful..... but the days....well just like the sign in Flatbacks pic's "death valley" they named it that for a reason. The cliff dewellings of the Pueblo Indian (feathers not Dot) were very interesting as homes and defense fortress from their enemies.

Awesome pics everyone!! Like the throw back ones too.." plus mountain shots" makes me wanna go camping soon..lol

Picture to take the heat out of the summer..lol..Took this shot out behind Rattlesnake mountain , Wa. about 10 years ago.

my winter pic.!!! We rode through the Eisenhower tunnel and it was cool and comfortable on the east side.... came out the other side of the mountain with snow flakes as big as baseballs hitting our farings on the bikes, by the time we got to the next town we were attempting to ride in 2 foot of snow. This was the scene leaving the next morning.

hard to see .....but that is my friend WAY on the other side of hwy 82 coming off of Independence Pass 12,000 feet I believe. It was nice and sunny on the east side from the road crew and sunshine travel useful. We took pics atop the pass on a sheet of ice......which CONTINUED down the mountain on the west side where the crews and sunshine hadnt been yet. Solid ice ON A MOTORCYCLE..... I ask my buddy "do they have a leather shop in Aspen??" him: "yeah I think so ..why".

me; "I may need a new seat" absolutely the scariest ride I've EVER been on!!!
