Well at least for the 7 winter months our gas mileage is great....i haven’t filled the tank since I parked the old girl for the winter, back in September...that said come April or May when I take it out again, she is a thirsty one...but as my memory is short, it will be a new issue later this year...

Thank the good Lord, if I wanted good gas mileage I'd drive a Prius. Don't get me wrong, I am all about being green.... as long as it's Medium Green, Competition Green, Ivy Green, Dark Green, Ivy Glow, Medium Lime, Bright Lime, or Grabber Lime!

At least the 73 and later 2v Cleveland heads have induction hardened valve seats to support unleaded regular. I keep a spare set of 74 heads in the attic, just in case.

When I last drove it, my gas mileage was 10 in town and 12 on the highway. The best I ever got was 13. The worst was 4 when racing and I did that as often as possible. A set of tires lasted 4 months! So many good and expensive memories! Hopefully again in the not so distant future.

My car is not done yet but I'm confident my Mustang won't have the worst mileage of my cars. My big block Chevelle with 670 HP gets 4 MPG if I 'm not getting on it too much. If I get my foot into the throttle it quickly becomes a gallons per mile situation. My best is my new Rubicon and that only gets around 16, so the bar is set pretty low. Maybe I should start parking next to Tesla's and Prius's like Adrose come to think of it. My wife's car gets like 26 if that redeems my lack of greenness at all.

Somewhere I have a picture of my dad in his ‘71 Boss 351..Pulling a boat and trailer! and If that’s not bad enough, it was early spring in Michigan. He had SNOW TIRES on it! That should have cost about 5 mpg!
if I can find the pic I’ll post it. or maybe none of you could stand to see it. (lol)

73 Grande will undergo three phase build process. Phase 1 is to make roadworthy. Phase 2 is interior/exterior restoration. Phase 3 is ++ performance.
I think “bad” get an unfair wrap. The SPG on my 73 has got to be 100 or more.

SPG = Smiles Per Gallon; it beats my Tesla by at least 50 on that scale. 😁
