73pony - Checked the vacuum without the vacuum pump and the vacuum is sufficient to run all 4 power disc brakes. THE VACUUM PUMP HAS BEEN ELIMINATED AND REMOVED FROM THIS BEAUTIFUL CAR!!  NO MORE VACUUM PUMP NOISE!

I don't think the HEI is ugly and it was freshly installed by my mechanic to eliminate the hassle of points, a coil, etc. And yes, the Ram Air is compromised and if I keep this car I'll look into making the Ram work.

Well after all the carb jarb talk, turns out whoever owned the car before me over-tightened the lifters, did not set them correctly and destroyed the cam, all went bad in the 351c and had to replace cam and all associated with it along with machining the head! After tons of diagnosis by 3...

Looking for help on timing a 72 with a 351C and a Cam.  Not certain which cam is in it due to buying this from an estate, all I was told is that it is a roller cam. I do know it has close chamber heads.  Can anybody recommend to me where to set the timing on this beast?
