Cross threaded fuel pump bolt, now what?!

Hey all, I pulled a boneheaded mistake and cross-threaded one of the bolts for the fuel pump on the block…I know, I was in a rush and it was a roadside repair (had to push the car off the highway to when the engine sputtered out). The replacement fuel pump still works but I’m dreading the day...

    RPM Rust Prevention Magic

Used it, loved the results on my stock exhaust manifolds and bolts. Fantastic product and last time I checked, made in the USA.

Help with replacement of car radio and speakers

Also...one of those "while your in there" projects if you're replacing/upgrading the radio...it wouldn't be a bad idea to check your speaker wiring for frays or shorts. I'd also give the under the dash glass fuses & fuse block a cleaning with Deoxit.

    351C & C4 vacuum question

What cam did you ultimately go with and do you think it would work with a 351c that although I put aluminum 2V heads on it with roller rockers it's not a stroker?

    OEM battery clock

It’s also 3D printed (FDM), and poorly done. Not okay for the price you paid.

Hats? (Baseball Caps w/ the 71-73 Mustangs logo)?

Hello All, I wanted to know if we could @RocketFoot or other moderators of the site consider a run of baseball caps with the 7173 Mustang's website logo on them. I know we've done the decals (I've got one on my car) and wanted to replicate the MCA hat I have but represent the forum as...

Problem found with Hella LED conversion headlights.

Firstly, I'm sorry for the loss of your club member, and offer my condolences. Regarding your Mustang, there's a trick that I've used successfully in the past with other electronics. You'll want to open them up/dissassemble to increase ventilation as much as possible. Go to your big box store of...

    Acid Dip or Media Blast?

Just a consideration, regarding “ruining cars,” it might take a decade or so for the damage to become visible given the affected spots would be in locations that aren’t easily gotten to by a pressure washer. Also, regarding phosphoric acid, no that wouldn’t be an issue but rather protective if...

    Acid Dip or Media Blast?

Again, theoretically, just like buffing paint, if done properly and with the correct materials, it shouldn't be an issue and you'll have great results. That said, if done incorrectly, well...we all know the rest. I was just stressing the importance of finding a good shop; I like WOM (word of...

    Acid Dip or Media Blast?

That's a great write up on the process; that said, given the parts were soaked in an acid and then pressure washed to remove the agents, I'd be leery of the pressure wash's efficacy of getting into the proverbial nooks and crannies. I'm sure that finding the correct shop would be key to...

    Acid Dip or Media Blast?

I'm sure that there's a right and a wrong way to do the acid bath...that said, I had a good friend that had his '56 Chevy frame ruined by an acid bath due to micro-fractures in the frame's metal being seeded/penetrated by the acid; Also, I've heard good things regarding using almond or walnut...
