In my 50s and this is my very first hot rod! My dad forbade any hot rods or any cars with V8 engines when we were looking for my very first car. When I was 17, I could buy what I want with my money (which of course I didnt have!) pay for my own gas, fix it with my own money and park it in the street. I ended up with a 1978 Mustang II with a 2.3L four..... FF to 2016 and my dad passes away and he leave me a few bucks. Had to sell stocks because they were free falling on the market. Had a chunk of cash and I said Hmmmmmmmm....... Found my sweet ride on eBay and negotiated a price. Irony??? Yes, my dad bought me a hot rod anyway!......however tardy, I have one! LoL!!!
