Just remembered that my back up lights are not connected to the transmission. I have found the wire that comes out near the gear shift lever, but not finding a switch to connect to. Does anyone know what kind of switch is used or where it is located to activate the back up lights. Worst case...
Rust mort is a rust remover I used on my car. it's mainly phosphoric acid, so it makes sense that vinegar would work. Maybe you could find some good old boys who could distill the vinegar then it wouldn't have to soak a week.

I had my vinyl top sewn together by an upholstery guy. Just remember the stitching lines need to line up because the chrome at the rear has notches for the extra thick stitch to fit under.
The next biggest problem was finding the clips for the chrome. To get the vinyl sewn it cost me $270...
