    How bad is this rust?

I had that thread up yesterday from a google search. Very impressive. Mine isn't as bad as your convertible, so there is hope. I am sitting at a $1800 mach one so we are not that far off for starting points. My problem is the size of my garage. I don't have the room to make a rotisserie or a jig...

    How bad is this rust?

If I can get it road worthy for less than a few hundred, I might just drive it around until I find something better. I can do the mechanics, I would need help with the welding and body work.

    How bad is this rust?

I can't seem to win with these cars. My first project got scratched because of body damage. It had solid floors and frame but every body panel was dented or crushed. I under estimated the cost of panel replacement. This one has excellent panels but is rotten underneath. I broke even selling...

    How bad is this rust?

Took the interior out of the 73 today. Found some surprises to say the least. There were sheet metal patches not really visible from underneath, lots of silicone type putty. Worst of all is underneath near the front of the leaf spring. Its a hole where the seat belt was screwed to. I was able to...

why did you choose this body style?

I love the huge fords of the early 70's, thunderbirds and such. It was easy just because its the biggest mustang, and I like the longer hood.

Took a closer at the motor, it doesn't have the 351C. I am guessing its a windsor. I will have to get the code off of the block this weekend and see. Bummer! I should have caught that when I looked at it. * Windsor for sure. I still have to get under for the date code though.

I am pretty sure it is. The body was re-done at some point in the mid 90's. The last owner has owned it as it looks since '98. The original color was a darker blue. Trunk is 100% solid, floors are about 90% solid. Frame is really nice, one small cancer spot on the lower shock tower. It was...

I am not even sure the gauges are functional, since there is another set of gauges under the glove box. The seats were a dead giveaway since the previous owner put them in on the wrong sides! I still haven't gotten to look at it closer due to being sick. I hope to check it out a little more next...

I am not a fan of the louvers. They will for sure not be on there for long!

Just found this site. Read for about 2hrs today. Lots of good info. I just bought a 1973 mach one. It is a H code car with the 351c 2bbl. It needs a lot of work and has not run in 8 yrs. It is an incredibly solid car for northern MN. It is my dream car and second attempt at a project. The first...
