Undercoating.
I've used POR15 with excellent results. It dries to a hard coating.

Looks like a well cared for original car with 46K miles.
Reasonably priced at $26K.
I have $20K in mine and Im not done yet.

I just did a Jeg's heat shield under my 4106 Edelbrock carb and Im pretty pleased.
Easy installation and dropped my bowl temp 5-10 degrees.
