There is so much conflicting information on this that I'm not sure anyone really knows anymore. My '73C is in the shop right now and has hardened seats.

H code is the two barrel carb engine with low compression. Doesn't take much to wake it up, but it was very "detuned" from the factory.

People in states with the same rule as GA, not too much. But here in Florida where they make it impossible to title that car without going through several obstacle courses multiple times, reduces the value to a parts car. That's my experience and opinion only.

Big difference between tweaking the same casting and making a totally different castings match. I wouldn't imagine imagine a quality casting would be 4.5cc per cylinder off. That's more than 1/4 cubic inch each chamber!

Yes sir, guy traded me a 6-71 equipped bowtie car for a stock '66 Couple back in the 90's. That bowtie was great during acceleration but he wasted $10K ('90s dollars) on an engine was terrible from, idle to 3,000 or in traffic.
