Some friends had Koni shocks on their rides and claimed they were the best. I purchased a set of Edelbrock Performer shocks for my 73 Mustang Mach 1 around 20 years ago. The car handled and rode like a dream with them. Not sure if they still make them. I highly recommend them.

I purchase an extra set hood hinges years ago and had them power coated. They looked really nice, however, the hood never closed exactly the same. Still have the originals hinges from my 73 Mach I.

saw this and am wondering if you ever resolved the issue. I had the same exact issue I changed eveything and found a really great mechanic who said the issue was torque converter. Might be something to consider especially if you have a FMX transmission
