I know this is somewhat of a common scenario but I'm not clear on if it's intentional or not. I have almost a 1/2" difference in ride height between the front passenger and driver side It was like this with the original front springs, and I just installed new front coil springs and shocks and...
So the problem ended up being the gasket between the spacer and the manifold. I guess when I took it off I tore it a little, and it must have been pulling some vacuum in from there. I put a new gasket on and problem solved.
High idle was in park with automatic transmission. There was no issue with the spacer plate, I just couldn’t remember if it was open style or four hole and I just wanted to check.
I didn't check the corner idle screws since they were dialed in fine before and I'm sure they haven't changed. I've looked at everything else and it's all fine to.
I started up my car today for the first time from winter hibernation and instead of it's typical 700-800 RPM, it wouldn't come down below 1300 RPM. For reference the carb is a Holley 750 DP with choke removed. I checked the fast idle screw and it's backed off all the way already. The only think...
On my 72 Cleveland I have the 70 4V quench heads with Crane’s adjustable roller rocker kit. Block is .30 over and stroked to 393. I can’t remember the exact cam specs but it’s an Extreme Energy Comp hydraulic cam, nothing too crazy but has a bit of “wild” in it. I also run the MSD “Ready To Run”...
Here’s a picture I took with an adjustable pole in place of the sway bar where I “think” it will run and I’m pointing to where I “think” it mounts to on the body. If I’m correct then my exhaust is in the way as you can see the pole running into it. My exhaust would need a sharper bend over the...
Has anyone noticed any exhaust interference issues with the Addco rear sway bar? My cars aftermarket exhaust was done without a sway bar in place, and I'm concerned that I may not have the correct clearance for the bar where the exhaust goes over the axle.
My original plan was to upgrade the front to a 1" and then put a 3/4" on the rear. You're suggesting a 1 1/8" and a 7/8". For general use, would you even be able to tell the difference?
My car is an H code, no competition suspension package. I'm curious how the factory bar mounts differently than aftermarket and if it makes a difference in handling performance.
that plate is virtually identical to the plate mounted under my axle for the shocks to mount to. You're suggesting I need another one that the sway bar mounts to?
My car currently has the stock one on the front and it didn't come with a rear at all. Did you order direct from Addco? Looks like you're in Canada, what was the cost with shipping and duty?
The 2 in the pictures are from CJ Pony Parts and The Mustang Shop.
