As I have been putting my ol girl back together I found this plug with two wires to it just sitting there next to the brake booster and brake lines and see no where it could plug in and am curious what it os for??... both wires look to be purple with a white stripe??... any help would be greatly...

So an update on my progress... I found a guy on craigslist today that was selling cleveland parts and has almost everything under the sun... well I got the powere steering pump that is already chromed in pretty good shape almost immaculate for just $25... an awsome price and really nice guy...

WOW!!... with all of this combined information I actually understand how that electric choke works and how to properly wire it for the best performance... you guys are GREAT!!.. I really appreciate you guys taking the time to explain all of this through my amateur brain...

Ok... so your saying it should supply 12v when the key is on... but not when running??...

Awsome... thats what ill do then... I messed up taking it off but know I have the knowledge to do it right... any leads on where to get the pulley??... that seems to be the hardest part for me to find??... would the 7AA pulley work fine or any ideas where I could find the right one for a semi...

So what would be the best way to hook it up??... or should I just leave it unplugged??...

The round white plug that is red and yellow hash marked was said in another thread that it is the carb solenoid??... well I have a holley 4160 with electric choke and the person before me had a red jumper type wire comming off of the starter silenoid going to the electric choke??... is that red...

Im in need of finding a new power steering pump and pulley. the pulley is a DO0R-B and the pump ive found at a couple of different places, but just want to make sure i am getting the right one. ive found that i cant trust the parts stores to give me the right parts i need for my 1971 Mustang...
