I "drove" it on Friday. I moved it from one garage bay to another. There is no rear brakes because after I replaced all the hydraulics and bled them, I hit the brakes and heard fluid spewing out of the rear. Sigh... Anyway, I plugged the master cylinder port to the rear brakes so I could move...

I'm glad you liked the joke - hope I didn't offend anyone... The car will remain without A/C.

I made the rear wheels move under their own power. Turns out I had to shorten the driveshaft. I did it myself and I'm rather proud of the results. The brakes are coming along. I was a little surprised to see broken springs and stuff in this one. It's still not running right. I'm wondering...

    Meet the donor car

I had considered going with a 5.4 for my 72 convertible project, but it quickly faded when I started considering all the extra work compared to the 5.0 EFI swap I am in the middle of doing. Here are some things to consider... A) 4 o2 sensors and at least two catalytic converters are required or...

Thankfully I'm just the wrench monkey on this project, not the financier. I was just complaining about all the non-Mustang I work I have to do. I have the radiator in and the belt on, so I can actually run the engine for more than a few seconds. It runs horrible. I hope it doesn't have anything...

    Wheel fitment question. Sorry...

Thanks for the reply, much appreciated. So those wheels will eat ball joints?

    Wheel fitment question. Sorry...

OK, I have never put aftermarket wheels on any of my cars since the 1971 Barracuda. I suck at offset and all that stuff... I tried searching, but I guess I suck at that too. I found a set of 2013 Mustang wheels and tires for pretty cheap. They are 17x8 and google tells me they have a 45mm...

    Advice on engine upgrades.

EDIT: Sorry, I'm sick and I didn't see you had the 351. ...or you could go a different route like I am doing and get more horsepower and better economy for free or little out of pocket. The 5.0 HO is 225 horse - I think, vs your 140. Buy a wrecked Fox body GT Mustang or even better a 5.0...

OK, got it running. No o2 sensors, straight out of the manifolds, who knows what else. Ran like crap, but it ran. STILL sick, but it was nice to hear it run. The crossmember will be here on Friday, so maybe this weekend it will move the rear wheels. The issue was that power was dropping to the...

I have injector pulse now, but it won't quite fire up. I'm pretty sure its just timing, but still too sick to continue.

I spent a few hours on Saturday doing wiring. She has spark, but no injector pulse. I have some ideas to try, but it will have to wait. Sunday I was sick and it carried on through today. I'm sure it will be running soon. I'm trying to decide if I want to build my own crossmember or buy one.

The exhaust is modified and has the o2 sensors installed and the engine is bolted in place with the transmission attached. It will need a custom crossmember because the pan hits the existing one. The fuel system is mostly complete, just need to tidy up the return line. I have the computer...

Yeah, I'm getting new bolts. I was going to reuse them to avoid a trip out yesterday, but since I didn't finish with the tank yesterday, no sense in reusing them.

I got them loose enough to slide over and pop the heads out of the round hole. After having them down, there's enough room to grip the head and impact the nut off. I'm retapping them and reusing them, but will tack weld the heads in place while the new tank is still empty.

So I made a mistake - well a few mistakes yesterday. 1. I bought the wrong U-Joints 2. The dipstick dilemma... I had read that the dipstick needs to be relocated to the front of the engine, but I thought it was because it was being done in a earlier body style and it was for clearance...
