A quick search at O'Reilly shows the Spicer 1330 is used in the front of BOTH cars depending on options. I'll let you, my new Pony friends, know later today if they are a match!

OK, the engine is finally all sealed up. I just had to see it in the car - and see if I could get away with the exhaust manifolds that already have o2 bungs in them. No love man, no love... The driver manifold hits the steering box. I'll use the 302 manifolds and weld bung holes in the exhaust...

More progress... It's converted to front sump, and the timing cover is soaking. With a little luck, I may be able to fire it up this weekend. I'm sure it won't move though.

Just be careful, it WILL eat aluminum - it says so on the jug.

It was about 25% Purple Power and 75% water in a kitty litter bucket. The really clean section soaked about 10 hours. I wish I could do that to the block. FYI, that Purple Power at full strength is awesome for carbs and fuel injectors in a sonic cleaner. I did the injectors in my turbo Lexus...

OK, I decided I just couldn't stand it. Let the cleaning begin! This is an interesting (to me anyway) pic. This is the underside of the lower intake manifold. On the right is after soaking in diluted Purple Power solution and pressure washing. The middle section is just pressure washing, and...

I know... I don't want my name associated with such filth!

I have been resealing the engine, replacing freeze plugs and ordering parts. I'll be ordering a gas tank & sender today. Look at this... Looks like motor oil coming out of the gas tank. I did a test fit of the engine and as expected, I need to convert it to front sump, so those parts...

Minor boring update... Lincoln leaves the garage, Mustang enters. My wife is the first to drive it - while being towed with a quad. I was sad to discover the brake master cylinder is full of nothing but rust. I haven't searched a lot yet, but I guess disc brake conversions are fairly...

A little about me and my vehicles

I love the G35, and have thought about getting one, but I don't know much about powering them up. There are turbo kits out there for them though!

A little about me and my vehicles

I have several guns. A Taurus PT111 Millenium 9mm, a Ruger Security Six .357, a Mossberg .22 plinkster, some old shotgun, and several RPM XL's (like a Thompson Contender) with barrels in .22, .357, 30-30, 30 Carbine and some others I can't remember right now. I used to do some web development...

I have arthritis from a severe illness. Some days I'm fine, some days I can barely move.

My first thread here is about the 72 Convertible I'm building for my Step-Father, but I thought I'd do an intro too... So first off I see several people have a Forum Shooter award. How do I get that? You may have noticed my username is "ishootstuff" On to the cars... My favorite car ever and...

I bet that Lincoln is regretting signing that organ donor card... I was surprised that it only took me 3.5 hours to pull the engine and tranny.

Cool. So you saw it on craigslist huh? I'm pretty sure I was the first one to get out and take a look at it. He got a couple calls on it while I was checking it out, but he was kind enough to wait for me to bring him the cash the following day. I'm actually building this for my stepfather, but...

OK, not totally new... I had a 93 2.3 for about a month, but lets not count that. It's a 72 convertible, 302 auto. I picked it up a couple weeks ago and haven't done anything with it yet. The title shows 10,000 original miles - but I have a hard time believing it. I have the original engine...
