    NPD Catalog Cover Car

Thanks for posting it Thanks for posting it !!! FWIW, it's a '72, and it's an R-code.. Nice car. Customer car. It was high time to get a 71-73 on the cover. ;)

    NOS?

Not too bad at all... You got both panels for less than the price of one reproduction fender. And if it was local enough that you picked them up yourself, there's another $250-$350 you saved in freight, not to mention the risk of damage when shipping TF. You did quite well!!

    NOS?

I'm 99.99999% certain that both are NOS.. Bentworker nailed it on the taillight panel. And the fender, 71-73 reproduction fenders haven't EXISTED long enough for one to gain that level of patina LOL... And indeed, that's an old yellow/white Ford shipping label, Taiwan labels/stickers are always...

Need to replace rubber trim under the rear windows.

Trust me, you cannot buy the beltline w/s for your quarter windows individually. They don't exist that way.

Need to replace rubber trim under the rear windows.

I hope you didn't already order those, because they are not what you need. You need (if I'm seeing your photo correctly) the horizontal lower windowfelt/beltline weatherstrip. What you have linked above is the VERTICAL rubber weatherstrip. And way overpriced to-boot, we carry the same seals for...

Need to replace rubber trim under the rear windows.

Nobody sells beltline weatherstrips (aka windowfelts) as individual pieces, because none of the manufacturers will sell them individually. They can only be purchased as a kit. Besides, if the 1/4 windows are toast, the door windows probably aren't far behind.

    Survivor...

Probably re-pops, and Coker doesn't sell the Goodyears. You get the Goodyears from Kelsey Tire. Coker sells the Firestones.

Need a new voltage regulator, any recommendations on brands ?

Ford has them made in China unfortunately... But fortunately, they have a very reliable/good track record.

Need a new voltage regulator, any recommendations on brands ?

New, readily available? No... Old NOS aftermarket units from the 1970's? On eBay here and there I suppose.

Need a new voltage regulator, any recommendations on brands ?

Since you have factory a/c, I'm guessing/betting that you have a 45 or 55 amp alternator, in which case you would want the NPD # 10316-9A (which is blue with yellow lettering coincidentally)...

    TMI upholstery colors

Yes, I would simply dye your blue stripes, and I would STRONGLY recommend using SEM product, which you should be able to source (hopefully) at a local automotive paint supplier, so that you can look at the sample-ring in person. A good washing, SEM prep, then a product by SEM called "Sand Free"...

    CJ or 4V

Oh, and also, the original Ford parts texts called the Q-code 351 "CJ" specifically for 1972, but in the 1973 text it's simply referred to as "4V". More confusion, but it really doesn't change the underlying facts.

    CJ or 4V

It's pretty easy to get confused on this topic, and Ford did its part in contributing to the confusion... LOL I have two Q-code 1973 Fords in my personal collection, both un-restored survivors. A Gran Torino Sport with 38K original miles and a 4-speed, and a Cougar XR7 convertible with 501...

Big sale? on AC systems at CJPonyParts

That's precisely why we try to keep things in-stock, on the shelves, so that our customers are not subject to the ebs and flows of a manufacturer's lead-time, which in this post-covid era, can often be many many months of waiting.

    Missing options on Marti Report

That's where I believe you're taking a big assumptive leap. Ever since Covid hit, I know that Kevin has been struggling to keep his head above water with the sheer volume of orders. He's months behind still, and yeah, probably not eager to get into an extended back/forth conversation over the...

Big sale? on AC systems at CJPonyParts

I grew up on that philosophy from my father, constantly reminding me how much money I'd need to make to generate X-amount of cash to buy a toy or indulgence, or explaining how much money the company had to earn in order to buy a building or piece of equipment. Always sobering, even after you've...

    Missing options on Marti Report

I'm not disputing or questioning the existence of inconsistencies, I'm just doubting that they are due to "flawed interpretation" on Marti's part. It's likely Ford's data that's flawed, and all he can do is regurgitate it, because he can't crystal ball it, or use editorial license. Regarding...

    Missing options on Marti Report

I think it's worth a conversation with Kevin, because it's doubtful that he's just free-wheeling the descriptions. I'd wager that it's verbatim from the Ford data he's got, and I'd be curious how a Ford 999 report would compare. Option titles/names tended to fall upon the marketing/brand-manager...

Big sale? on AC systems at CJPonyParts

In their defense, there is not much meat on the bones when it comes to these expensive conversion kits. Same usually goes for brake conversion kits. The margins already stink as it is, and to discount much further is getting down real close to "cost", at which point they're swapping dollars for...
