    New Cardone PS pump leaking

+1 on the nut being not tight enough. I had one start to leak after 12 years in very occasional use. Tightened the nut a very thin opened wrench, leak stopped. Chuck wrenches...

    Loctite on curb idle screw

A small amount of clear RTV should hold it in place if you let it cure for 24 hours. Chuck

    Please help. Starter keeps running

I've had to use a shim exactly once in 50+ years of working in Fords. The ring gear was not properly seated on the flex plate. Installing the shim was a lot easier than changing the flex plate. Chuck

    Correct Paint Markings '73 H-Code (351C-2V)

There is no definitive source for paint daubs and stripes. If the car has mostly original parts the dirt and grease can be carefully removed to reveal the markings. If you have a build sheet the colors will be listed next to the part. Decoding it takes effort and time. Even then, you don't know...

    Windage tray

I at least have the line bore checked on everything I build, and corrected if need be. Almost every block is a little bit off. Chuck

    Windage tray

Correct! You can even change all the bearings if, you are very careful, and triple check everything as you go. Chuck

Biggest Axle in stock rear end housing

Street/Strip means no spool, in my mind. So, perhaps a Detroit locker with 35 spline axles. I had a Versailles rear end with that set up, it worked fine with 575 HP. I don't know about 900 HP. You need to check axle bearing compatibility. Ford used small, old large, and new large bearing...

    1971 boss 1of 1

It is a great car for sure. However, Mr. Perkins has milked this cow for everything it is worth. I wouldn't be surprised if it gets sold soon. Chuck

1973 Hood front edge trim - part number, and is it different than 71 - 72?

The repo ones I've seen are not made right on the ends. They are straight cut and should have a slight angle cut. Chuck

Did anyone see this? Another hack job at Mecum goes for $51,500!

I'll bet someone was disappointed and mad as hell, when they looked at it sober. WAAAYYYY too much money for that car. Chuck EDIT: At least he will be clean after he takes a bath when he sells it.
