    73 H code Convertible Build

Rear seats only have cotton and horse hair. Definitely should replace all of the padding. Front seat have foam, mine is stinky and after airing it out for a month it's still there. Might just spend $300ish on new front seat foam.

    73 H code Convertible Build

Yes, I used rust converter on my passenger seat frame. It dries shiny and smooth, paint adhesion might not be the best. So on these frames desided to used Rustoleum Professional. What type of converter do you use?

    73 H code Convertible Build

Planning to reuse my original upholstery, had it in the sun all day to get some stink out (vinyl side was down) . Probably will use deodorizer spray. Spray completely removed sigaret smoke from Jeeep softop, so should do the job on fabric/foam. Washed wire/plasticky mash which straches over...

    73 H code Convertible Build

Thanks, these must have not been used much. Original (non ford preplacement) center caps with 5 bolt holes and none of the bolts are broken off. Replacement Ford Pat's had 3 bolt holes in center caps, which is great when your wheels have broken bolts. I have 4 NOS replacement part for the...

    Correct motor oil

Run some test on it, next change or just grab sample every 500 mi. Send it to BlackstoneLabs. I used to use them every oil change, as I abuse my late model cars, to nail down good oil and change frequency. My testing limed up to Ratblog testing, Mobil 1 synthetic was not ideal for elevated...

    Correct motor oil

Maybe if you lived in 70s, that would be a good rule to go by. Dont buy "raceengine" oils, they are not formulated for street engines and will cause premature ware. A flat tappet engine with higher than stock valve springs should have 1000 to 1200 PPM ZDDP. Now days oil manufacturers substitute...

    Correct motor oil

Too much zink is as bad as not enough. Around 1000ppm is ideal. Usualy 30 weight oil is the right one to go with. Majority go with 10w-30, but 5w-30 is same weight when warm or hot and can be found with ideal zink concentration and better ware protection. Quaker State Synthetic. Zink is not...

    71 Vert 302 Headers

Nice, what wire did you use? Usually I see people use metal zip ties. Also did you end up using 2 rolls of 50'? My 73 vert 351c came with long tube heades. Would like to cut down on all that heat.
