I have been searching for these as well, same problem from the AZ sun. I look at them and they crumble. What is the actual name of this trim piece? My lower QP trim was out of the sun and in great shape. Both of the wrap arounds are pretty much disintegrated though.

I'm glad I found this tip! When I got my 73 the driver side window was laying in the door. Tore probably 1/2 of the clips out trying to fix it. Door panels are in decent shape minus this aspect. Glad theres a fix for it!

As if on cue just got an update. The heads are done, the crank is done, now moving on to the piston combination.

I should be satisfied, I have been all through their shop and checked out the work that they have done/are in the process of. Doesn't change my attitude that its taking this long but I think its a safe assumption that the machine shop has some sort of a backlog.
