    Wimbledon White? Creamy?

I don't mean to hijack this thread, but this is first I've heard of the black paint being applied to rear underside of the hood. Would either of you know if this carried through to '73? thanks!

Mini update with pics (some body gap line up)

My car is a '73 and the front hood trim on mine actually caps over the hood on the outboard ends. In regards to your question about the hood curvature, it seems to be a pretty common thing. Mine certainly has the same issue. I've heard various reasons put forward mostly centered on the overall...

    Wimbledon White? Creamy?

Late to the conversation here, but, was looking for a picture of my car in WW that shows what I refer to as the 'ivory' tone. Wast most noticeable in this picture as the car is in the shade.

    73 Console

I think it looks super nice! Out of curiosity, any complaints from your passenger? Looks like the cup holder area might be intruding into the leg/hip room a bit?

Historical reports on Mustangs 71-73 at Website Ford-Torino.de

Boy, does this ever bring back some memories. My dad worked for Ford from '66-'80 and he would bring back stacks of these that were apparently just laying around the office. Used them to light his wood burning stove :classic_unsure: Thanks for posting this!

    Help me pick the color

Had the same conundrum years ago when I had mine painted. Stuck with the white and don't regret it. Came very close to replicating the color scheme I had seen on another 73 Mach1 I had looked at though. It was green, ginger interior (as mine is) but with argent hood and stripes, front/rear...

What was your worst automotive "Blunder"? Share the pain.

Sometime around 1999-2000 I had taken my Riviera out for a drive and spotted a nice old Pontiac for sale on the side of the road. Pulled over to take a look and turns out it was a '66 2+2. 421 tri power, 4 speed, 8 lug wheels, blue on blue and about 60k on the odometer if I recall correctly...

    Remote (electric) trunk release

Thanks for the info, guys. When I had the car painted I never saw the deck lid when it was stripped down but always wondered if the lock hole had been filled.

    Remote (electric) trunk release

When I bought my 73 Mach 1 in 1986, it was equipped with an electric push button trunk release. The button is mounted on the lower dash, left of the steering column. It failed so often that I eventually just hooked up a traditional pull cable and left it at that. My base question here is: Is...

1971 429 CJ manual transmission in my area.

Also states that it is a manual transmission and then references a 'built C6'.

Diamonds are Forever - James Bond

One thing I love about this clip is the yellow four door sedan with the dog dish hub caps and matching yellow steel wheels (the car that slams on its brakes when the cop car pulls it front of it right before the chase begins). In almost every scene on the strip it makes an appearance. They must...

    Will this buff out?

OMG, as the owner of a white 73 Mach 1 this makes me cringe on several levels! Any background on what happened here?

Thank you all for the warm welcome and my sincere apologies for just now responding/getting back on the forum. Long story short, I was in the middle of a three month thrash to get my other ride ready for a 600+ mile trip. Not another Mach 1 unfortunately...its a 1973 Buick Riviera. thanks again!

Hi all. Long time lurker but have finally signed up! My car is a 1973 Mach 1 H-code with C-6 trans. Wimbledon white exterior/ginger interior. Factory AC car. I bought it from the original owner in 1986 with 30k miles, current mileage 57k. Had the car repainted in 1990 mainly due to the fact...
