    Fuelpump replacement - not so easy

    If you put the #6 piston at TDC the fuel pump slips in and out with no pressure on the pump arm. real easy. I also had stainless steel line with AN fittings made up at the local speed shop and cost over $100 so be prepared.

    oilpan removal 351C

    well I guess I answered my own question. I had to removed the sway bar then rotated the crank to move the con rods out of the way and the oil pan slipped out without lifting the engine up or moving the oil pump but it is a very tight fit.

    factory shop manual does not state engine has to be raised to remove oilpan in 351C. Is that correct ? do I have to raise engine to remove oilpan ...or not. ? mentions removing cross member bolts but I am not sure which bolts they are talking about.

    be careful with locating zero lash. I found that rotating the push rod in my fingers was not accurate cause the push rod continued to easily rotate at zero lash and beyond so I changed to moving the pushrod up an down. at exactly zero lash the rod will stop moving up and down

    I found a perfect fit aftermarket rad overflow tank from Speedway Motors. part # 91102210. brakets fit the existing screw holes in rad support. also looks good. had to fit a small piece of rubber hose inside a bigger piece to fit the male fitting on the tank bottom.
