    Heat and AC system

I just redid my a/c heater box and heater core. If I were to do it all over again, I would go with a sure fit classic air system. Good luck!

    Heater core with A/C replacement

New verses old! Everything went back together nicely. If I had to do it again I would go with a sure fit unit instead of the oem style. I will probably swap this out next year for the sure fit unit when I get the ac going again. For right now I have a new heater core and box I am good with that.

    Heater core with A/C replacement

So the rod will pull out. I do doubt an original one will with all the rust. At least now I know and knowing is half the battle.

    Heater core with A/C replacement

I have a busted heater core. I pulled the heater box out and it was damaged as well. So I got a new box and new heater core. I am swapping the components over, but the flap has to be out of the way to install the new heater core. I haven’t tried moving the evaporator to the new box yet. I will...

    Heater core with A/C replacement

How do you remove the flapper to get the heater core out or in? I have a new box and don’t want to damage it, but I don’t see how to get the flapper out.

    My 1973 project daily driver

As for my master cylinder it ended up having an adapter on the drum brake port. I kept my original. The correct one has 1/2-20 threads on port one (drum) , 7/16-24 threads. My car has the power disc brakes and the 2” rear drum setup. The issue I ran into is no one shows the port thread sizes...

Thanks it’s more work than I was thinking. Trying to get it to a daily driver status. I want to enjoy it a little before I deep dive into the motor, drive line and bodywork .

    My 1973 project daily driver

I just picked a 1973 mustang sports roof. It’s a Q code 4 speed . It has the competition suspension, power disc brakes, 3.25 open rear gears, A/C, manual steering. My plan is to get it back on the road as a daily driver.
