Feedback on Midolyne Strut Rod Bushings

Nope. It was a friend's car. I did a front end rebuild on it. It was not even a year and the midolyne began showing cracks. Another year or so and the strutrod failed right behind the bushing. I have heard/read of others having failed strutrods with urethane. Limiting suspension travel helps as...

Feedback on Midolyne Strut Rod Bushings

Not only did they crack and split, but the stiffer durometer meant the strut arm was flexed until it broke, which only happen when driving.....ask me how I know. I wouldn't use anything but original type bushings in that location on a street car or get the fancy strutrods that eliminate bushings.

    25 Years Ago Today....

Not TMI! There is more to life than cars. You havd to have other hobbies and interests. Girls, for example, but they tend to consume all of your time and money. And what do you get for that investment? KIDS! It just gets worse! And THEY want to play with your toys. Nope, avoided that...

    25 Years Ago Today....

Something I read in the Making of book was that aside from the Eagle Transporters, the model makers received vague descriptions of other vessels, ships, buildings needed in a very short time frame. So many of those things are what the builder came up with, not the product of endless design...

    25 Years Ago Today....

Yep. Alot of the same people (set/production designers and effects/model work) worked on all those movies and shows, going back to 2001. Silent Running and Gerry Andersons Thunderbirds/UFO shows and the movie Journey to the Far Side of the Sun all the way up thru ALIEN and Outland.

So I Did Something Kinda Dumb...

If the regular 302 drivers side manifold did not change from 70 to 71, then there's a chance the 69-70 Boss manifold would fit. If that's the case, the H pipe might work as well.

So I Did Something Kinda Dumb...

Are the Boss 302 exhaust manifolds different from Boss 351 manifolds?

    Interior Trim research

I stand corrected, $125. Clearwater Florida. He might ship, but I'd try to find out more about them. Are they fastback or coupe? https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/3206281226176097/?ref=search&referral_code=null&referral_story_type=post

    Interior Trim research

Unfortunately, they weren't green. They were black. Didn't get the kick panels, either. There is an interesting ad on Facebook for a pair of A pillar trim that was made in New Zealand. I have no idea on the quality as they were still new and wrapped up. But...$175. I'll see if I can find the ad.

    New to the Mustang world

I have a coupe back seat. It has been 'reupholstered' at some point. Looks like some padding was replaced. Probably just good for the frames as it looks scuzzy in the back. Do you have a rear seat at all?

    My first Mustang 73.

Sorry for not getting back to you sooner. I thought I had replied again. There are big holes in this car, so those parts are shot.

    Looking for 351 Cooling Improvements.

Just remember to get all pre-71 cash when you do. If you get caught with real money with later dates, you might be returning to the future one day at a time for the first 15-20 years. Maybe sooner with good behavior!

    Ear Worms....

For the past two days I can't get enough of Sweet. I have the full Musikladen concert/show plus some other various bits on my Ipod. The Musikladen show has a certain rawness to it that doesn't come across in their recordings. For those that are too young to remember...
