    Restore or buy

And how you want to use it. Too nice of a car and it never leaves the garage. A fairly nice one and you get to not worry as much about driving it. Like Spike mentioned, he got his when it was just a used car and people drove the wheels off them. There is a very different mindset and enjoyment...

    Steering Wheel Club

Clubs are easily defeated with bolt cutters. Cut the wheel, bend it until the club comes off and bend it back.

    Restore or buy

Time to define terms...because advice is useless if you are talking apples to oranges. What does 'restored' mean to you? Are we talking a concourse correct, all oem/nos down to nuts and bolts? Or a nice solid, well detailed car that may or may not be 'correct' or accurate to how Ford built it...

    What would the compression be

Cranking pressure is a whole different thing. And depends on how fresh the battery, the motor, oil viscosity, temp, and etc. Generally in a compression test all cylinders should be within ten percent of each other. Actual compression psi can vary per everything above.

I'm not disappointed in the least. The therapy bills would have been horrendous. I guess I get to play along...wife is out of the country, fourth day of cold/flu/covid/sinus infection. 6:30am.

    1971 Fastback base model

I may be wrong, but if your title mileage says exceeds limits or something like that to mean the speedo has rolled beyond the 6 digits, then claiming lower mileage may constitute fraud if the buyer is not made aware.

    1971 Fastback base model

Yeah, I never did like ads for fully restored/restomodded cars that say 0 or low miles. Just because it has everything new does not mean the seller can honestly claim 'low miles'. There is an implied connotation to that term.

I hear some of the metal buildings are terrible for condensation in humid areas. Garage journal is a good forum.

When you go to post a reply, look right under the text box for a button that says 'attach files'. Select that and you should be able to upload easily from your phone or computer. The little 'picture' icon above the text box isn't as easy.

    F-ing HOA issue!

HOAs can get put of hand, but the flipside is that without them (or decent county ordinances) everyone is on an honor system to be a good considerate neighbor. So, while most people are, there is always the guy who is not. I have a new neighbor building a new house. I have 3.5 acres and he has...
