I am interested in a lower dash assembly. Something that hasn't been drilled or cut, and isn't rusty. Ideally one with all the plastic clips and routing pieces for the wiring. I've seen a couple on CL for $50-$60 , but the sellers don't want to ship.

I checked out the rollers that apply pressure to the spring. The rollers spin , and the pin that passes through them, securing them into the hinge, is secured. Could the cog be worn to the point that it is not applying enough pressure to the spring?  I've attached a photo of my hinge assembly.

I took apart the passenger side door panel to compare. I see it has a different make/manufacturer beltline than on my drivers door.  Or, my driver side door is missing part of the belt line. On the passenger side, the felt line is smooth, although you can see where several staples are attaching...

Ok, let’s talk about that roller alignment. I don’t see how the spring could be installed wrong. However, I have a gift at doing things wrong.

Update. Today I was able to remove and replace the torsion bar/spring in the lower hinge, drivers side. The actual removal and replacement went very smooth. However, the results were not impressive.  I'm assuming the two rollers, that interact with the spring, are worn. At this point I guess I...
