    Magnum 500 wheels--looking for recommendations

You all have given me lots to think about... I am not a "chrome" guy... but 500's are, I believe, the correct look my car needs, so.. the alloy option is where I'm leaning... 15X7 front, 15X8 rear. the steel wheels are very heavy.  It would be nice to reduce the unsprung weight on the...

    Magnum 500 wheels--looking for recommendations

Legendary Wheel website glitched. They do offer 15X7 and 15X8.

    Magnum 500 wheels--looking for recommendations

Now I'm just being picky....Do you have a picture of the whole car so I can see how the two tire sizes affect the stance, the rake of the car? Looks like the 275 fills the wheel well pretty good on the rear? On the Legendary wheel site, they only offer the "LW50" (magnum 500) wheel in 15X7...

    Magnum 500 wheels--looking for recommendations

My Mach needs new wheels. It came with Magnum 500's, so I'm pretty sure I will replace with same. I want to keep the classic muscle car look it had from the factory so I'm thinking 235-60 or 245-60's on 15X7 front.  255-60 on 15X8 rear. Any thoughts? Does anybody have and info to share? Is...

Idler Arm Rebuild, pressing in bushings, Is this OK?

Believe me... I was freakin out that I was gonna get a call from the shop I had press it telling me the arm broke, or the bushing got destroyed in the process. I just wanted it done. As I started with, that is the MOOG replacement... I already had the MOOG replacement Idler Arm which is...

Idler Arm Rebuild, pressing in bushings, Is this OK?

Both washers spin.  I'm gonna drill it and cotter pin the nut. That way I can snug it up in the future as the rubber bushing ends compress and wear.

Idler Arm Rebuild, pressing in bushings, Is this OK?

They sure didn't press right in, like say the front bushing on my leaf springs. It stripped threaded rod trying to press it in.  No way in the vise.  Bent my vise handle with the aluminum pipe I put on it for leverage. Took it down to the local auto repair guy and he pressed them in for $30...

Idler Arm Rebuild, pressing in bushings, Is this OK?

So I got new MOOG bushings from Rock Auto to rebuild my stock Idler Arm.  The part numbers actually came from HEMIKILLER. The MOOG #K8094 replacement bushing is noticeably larger than the stock bushing I pressed out of the Idler Arm. The stock bushing measures 1.14 in diameter while the new...

Moog Idler Arm, Holes don't match and Geometry

Thanks, really appreciate the info. The Moog idler arm is a terrible fit for this car. The hole spacing isn't even close.  Not just "elongate" a hole. Returned the Moog and have the bushings on the way to rebuild...

Moog Idler Arm, Holes don't match and Geometry

73'mach 1, you didn't mention if it had the same critical dimensions as your o.e.m. stock unit... Hemikiller, thank you so much for the info..  I was really wondering what to do. I just reread the post from Stanglover from 2-4-16.  He mentioned that if the center line of the mounting bolts to...

Moog Idler Arm, Holes don't match and Geometry

So Yes, I've read all of the posts on the different looks and shapes of the different idler arms available. I got the Moog #K8118 from Rock Auto. I have seen this part mentioned in one of the posts. It is Moogs correct part for this application. 1st of all, the holes aren't the correct...
