Just trying to "upgrade" your combination isn't going to get you there. Modern "muscle" cars have distinct advantages from electronic engine controls, better (lighter, stronger and less friction) internal components and BOOST.
Our advantage is the COOL factor... especially with the top down
I cleaned the winter's dust off and drove it to work today. Gonna enjoy some top down therapy on the way home. It's finally going to be a nice few days here in Michigan.
I use Kawasaki 10w40 General Purpose engine oil and Wix filters. The oil has 1200ppm zinc and is formulated with heat resistant additives.
Wix 51515HP is the best filter out there.
Remember... most of what I know is opinion...
I built a set of tubular connectors based on the Global West design. They are also tied into the convertible center support. They add a ton of rigidity.
I picked up a hunk of 1/2" aluminum and cut away everything that didn't look like a shift lever.
I agree, most of the pre made levers look out of place.
