HEY ALL YOU AUSSIES. Trying to find someone in OZ land

Just over 20 years ago I sold my Super Gas Mustang to a chap in Sidney Australia His name is Andrew Ashley. He sent me a few pics back then when he got his motor & trans put in the car. Recently I thought to look him up. Curious what became of the Mustang if he still didn't have it. Any know...

    Oil Pan

I doubt that even if it's not the original it wouldn't hold less than 5 Quarts. It might hold more. Get a 5 quart jug of your favorite oil Put some new oil in the new filter then put the remaining new oil in the engine. Run it for a bit and check the oil level. Even if the pan has more...

    Trunk floor part needed

Had to remove the tube seal to replace the damaged one in the car. Kinda wondered why there was so much sealer around the bottom of the seal and no visible screw heads. Well as the picture shows, here's why! Somebody had filled the the rust voids with some sort of latex. Then they slathered...

    Power Steering Deep Dive

1972 Mach1s came with a longer power steering line until May 1972. My Mach1 was built in February. Would the hose have been routed over the left shock tower brace like the '71s?

    Are these cables/wires OEM or?

Thanks! The shifter is a Hurst V Matic 2. Found it has connections for both neutral start and back up lights. Car has a C6 which I found has the connections by the shift arm as it came from the factory. What I found was working but kinda "cheesy" in execution. So I finally got a cleaner set up...

    Look it's a 4 speed! Uh, no it ain't.

When I purchased my Mach 1 it came with a rather clever set up for the appearance of a 4 speed equipped model. Actually the car came from the factory with a C6 which it still has. But somebody installed a Hurst V-Matic 2 shifter and made, or had made, a Naugahyde boot to cover it. The shifter...

    Are these cables/wires OEM or?

I've been cleaning up some of the wiring that previous owners did. Some was sloppy, others were "creative" Case in point for the latter is the crimp connectors used in lieu of half of the factory pigtail for the C6 functions. Two grey cables were attached to the crimp connectors and the mess...

    351 C OIL PAN REPLACEMENT

I actually have the Milodon pan on the engine that came with the car. The previous owner had it put on because they couldn't get the stock pan to stop leaking. Had no issues with leaks while it was in the car.

    Lifter noise

I made these for short folks (like my wife) over 20 years ago. One for each side.. Or Harbor Freight sells a nice aluminum one that I also have a couple of now. Actually have been using the HF models in working on my Mach 1 engine bay. Makes life as a senior citizen a lot better. LOL

    Lifter noise

An "acoustical analysis"? Never heard that one before. I guess that's a regional term. Down here in the valley we call it "give it a listen". :giggle::giggle::giggle:
