Help with stepping up to 17" wheels

I have draglites on my car for many years, they are not designed for street handling, potholes, ect. they will start to split at center . In a straight line, there is no other lightweight drag street/strip out there. Going to 17 or even 18 inch rims puts even more shock load on a wheel at bumps...

    Magnum 500 wheels--looking for recommendations

I have been very happy with cast aluminum legendary wheels brand. easy to banlance and mounts like a new rim. Very high quality casting. 1. one piece no welds to break or out of round manufacturing. 2. cast just like o.e.m. today. 3. does NOT need to be balanced off the lug holes like...

    Anyone running a 325/50-15

You will need a 10 inch wide wheel, custom backspacing 6 inches, will still need massaging with a bfhammer front inner wheelwells and rolling fender lip. used to run a 295/60/15 street slick, section width on ALL radials is the killer. Bias ply do not bulge out so no problem.

    Another Subframe Connector Question

Those are NOT cal-traces, they are slide a link . I have cal-tracks/gws SFC combo, they will fit if u mount at same time. First cal trans, then test fit connectors so u can access cal trac bolt head to adjust height.

    hood hinge question

Never use absolute terms like "Always used" when referring to mass-produced cars lollerz . I have a 71Mach that came from factory with round, NOT heavier coil oval springs with factory equipped NASA hood Does not look like it was ever taken apart or replaced, hood still started to bow from years...

    hydroboost

Will try in a few days to post some pics. I am not sure to use the nice Teflon stainless lines they sent me or try to reuse my home-made power steering lines running through outer wheelwell. Got the unit all bolted up to firewall and brake pedal, plenty of shock tower clearance with baer master...

Any Holley Ultra Double Pumper Guru's ?

aftermarket f. inject. systems are speed density, they do not like low vacuum signal, which is what 108 degree cams create.  1. holley d.p. always are too rich, put in brass set svrews in i.f.r. to lean down. 2. get a 110-112  lobe center cam, 108 is really causing untunable situation. My cam...

    hydroboost

Nice, I am not looking forward to putting system on since I ran power steering lines remotely in outer frame rail. They come through bulkhead fittings to the steering box, which area also occupied by line lock, might have to remove hood and hinge to give my fat 300+ stomach working room lollerz ...

I think I just blew up my A/C

Well, from what I have read/been told by a/c  mechanics/installers, as well from outfits like old air products, ect., is the old compressors use  pistons, the newer sanderns rotary. rotary is better suited for rpm, and is designed for higher head pressure. R 132 is not as efficient a heat...

    hydroboost

Yeah, I've heard that as well as poss. engine stall at idle(?)  I don`t think this will be a one day perfect install w/o plenty of bugs. I am running a saginaw pump, stock did pulley, and will run a dedicated return line to side up pump. Do u think a larger remote resavior (s.i.c.) would solve...
