You'll be able to make a little more compression with pistons with 2 valve reliefs instead of 4. I used a set of DSS 8720-4030 in a similar build and I'm really happy with them. They're a really good deal as far as forged pistons go and will give you more freedom down the road if you decide to...
So unfortunately when I got my car, the original heater box was not there, and in its place was a (cheap) aftermarket AC system. I'm wanting to take it back to original and put in the correct non-AC heater box and had a few questions regarding it, since I don't really have any examples to go off...
I just ordered a box from redhead. I know some folks on this forum have bought from them and had good experiences, so I figured i'd give it a try. I'll post how it works once it ships.

Finally pulled the trigger on starting the work on the mustang this spring. Had a few burnt exhaust valves and the cylinder walls were starting to groove, so I determined that the best place to start was the engine.
Had the block bored 0.030 over and the original crank polished/balanced with...
Pulled a door from a parts car and only needed the shell, so everything else is up for sale. Rather not risk shipping the glass, so that's local pickup only. Everything else I can ship from 37321 with buyer covering shipping costs.

If you're talking about the spring that goes on the dashpot, yes there should be a spring there. Although, i'm running without it and can't tell any significant difference.
This picture might help
Disregard that last image, that's the wrong dashpot, thought I had a picture of it but I guess not
After installing new sound deadener, i'm finding that the gas pedal is hitting the carpet before the throttle can go wide open. Is there any adjustment i can make to bring the pedal up an inch or so to give it some more room? Its a stock throttle cable with the stock 2BBL carb. If its not...
There's supposed to be a small gap between the choke butterfly and the airhorn when cold starting. If the gap isn't the right width it can cause some rough idling before the engine has warmed up.
Here's the adjustment diagram, and the gap is probably gonna be 1/8". Unfortunately I don't have...
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe that the motorcraft 2100 2150 4100 4300 and 4350 all use the same plastic choke housing and coil. So you shouldn't have any issue with putting a spring on from one of those models.
New floor pans, 9 inch rear end with 456 gears. Engine's been swapped with a 460 big block, but comes with the original 302 with GT40 heads. He's asking $1700 for all. I can go out and get pictures if anyone is interested.

Hi all, figured i'd make a post here finally. This is my first project, as well as my first car. Still have a long ways to go, but it runs and drives great so far after 3 months. Planning on rebuilding the front end and engine in the next few weeks.
