    Refreshing a 351 Cleveland?

Would you be willing to make one of these intakes for me? I'm not sure if I have the skills to pull all of this off.

    Refreshing a 351 Cleveland?

So Q1, did you fill the heat channel with some kind of epoxy or something? It looks like you would have very little sealing surface without doing so if you open the primaries up at all.

To EFI or Not EFI, that, and which one, is the question.

Sounds like most people are open to the EFI. I don't hate the idea, but I feel it takes the retro spirit out of the car. I hated carbs until I bought a custom built unit from Pro Systems. I filled out a whole spec sheet on my engine build and they shipped me a custom DP Holley. In 5 years it has...

    Refreshing a 351 Cleveland?

Can you tell me what size reamer you used for the front holes on intake?

    Refreshing a 351 Cleveland?

Why would you use the 73 2.04 heads over the 71 2.19 OC heads? I have both, I just figured the bigger valves would be desirable.

    Refreshing a 351 Cleveland?

Q1SVT, thank you so much for the pics. I really like those pistons. How are the street manners of that engine? I want to be up front with the fact that I want this to be a bit more mild Cleveland. I currently have a 475 HP cc headed engine and love it, But in the city where I live it's kind of a...

    Refreshing a 351 Cleveland?

Well, a refresh is a no-go. Water got into the intake and one of the cylinders has a bit of rust in it. Good thing is that it is a standard bore 4 bolt block, so I think I will rebuild it with a pair of 2.19 OC heads since I have a pair. Does anybody have a good piston recommendation to get...

    Refreshing a 351 Cleveland?

So I got a 4 bolt, 4bbl Cleveland from my father that was a running engine when he took it out of the car. It should be a 73 engine because that is what his car is and it had 73 motor mounts on it so I'm guessing it's the small valve OC heads. He said it ran strong and didn't smoke when he took...

    Repairing cracks in Console

Thank You guys, I will try this. I am a welder by trade so I understand the technique. I do have some donor material, and a Weller soldering iron with a flat tip attachment that I think will work. Any ideas to build up the area around one of the screw holes, basically the raised barrel portion...

Sealing panels for long term storage

I live in Minnesota, but my welding shop is heated in the winter, but NOT cooled during the summer, high humidity summers. Sounds like 2K primer is probably my best option, but the phosphoric acid wipe sounds like a great prep. Thanks Gents!!

Sealing panels for long term storage

Time is my worst enemy, never enough of it. That being said, I would like to start stripping body panels for repaint, BUT, I can not do everything in a weekend or steadily at all. If I strip my panels to bare metal what can I spray on them that will seal them for long term storage. I would also...

Anyone know how to get a Grant horn button to function and not just spew sparks?

Also make sure that your steering wheel nut is not grounding out on any of the copper, this is what I ran into. The peaks of the hex just touched the copper enough to pop my fuses. Had to grind a little off the nut.

how to drill holes to install a new(to me) OEM long console?

The front holes are under the transmission mount supports, you can't see them from under the car, I sharpened some coat hangar wire and heated it up and poked it through from the bottom to locate the holes through the new carpet, The front 2, I installed the first six screws loosely, then used a...

Exhaust Manifolds or Exhaust Headers? Go!

I will be going to stock on my next 73 and I will be running manifolds for quiet operation and ease of install for factory exhaust. My 71 has headers and it gets very warm under the hood!

351 C Engine rebuild. Not an expert, want some solid advice.

I used a Lunati Voodoo roller cam with Lunati link bar lifters and they are working great. Just remember to get a steel distributor gear and steel cam plate. Do not use original iron gear!

    Need help understanding timing

It's just the way it looks, (bad camera). It is actually a very nice looking snap in sleeve. I do understand what you are saying. I have a good ignition/dizzy guy that set up my last one. I guess I will take it to him and have him go through it. Thanks for the input!
