If you put the relay and switch downstream of the ignition switch that will not be a problem. As you would only want the light and the circuit working when the key was turned, when the car is off there would by NO current draw.

Why not go the other way? A constant on switch with a relay, when you start closing the switch contact is broken the relay switches on the light, when the brake is off the switch closes and relay turns off the light?

I bought from Redhead when I upgraded to close ratio. The first unit they sent was defective. I called, explained what it was doing. They overnighted me a replacement and shipping labels for the bad unit. While I had to pay the labor to swap it twice, redhead was top notch.

I found a virtually new 3rd member 28 spline with a traklock posi for a decent price (he’s asking $725) problem is it has 4.11 gears. Is the teak lock that much better than the trutrak I have, that it pays to buy it and swap to 3.73 gears or should I just swap gears in mine?
