    Buzzer

Behind the dash just up above the glove box. It was a long time ago but from memory it was attached to the metal rail at the front and had a plug that could be disconnected.

    Buzzer

Disconnected my buzzer not long after I bought my car. Not only did I dislike the noise, the buzzing sound varied up and down in pitch and sounded like a giant blowfly that was in the process of being slowly eviscerated by a sadistic spider.

Looking for feedback on my new wheels

I love the look of them! Where I live the tread outside of the vertical line of the fender extremity would be considered unroadworthy though.

Hi 7173 Community New Aussie Member

Custom Mustangs in Melbourne had new dynacorn cowl panels but I see that they have listed them as "out of stock" though. Maybe you could talk to them to see if any more are on the way? https://www.custommustangs.com.au/1971-1973-mustang-front-cross-member

Good stuff! Still, it looks pretty nice with the chrome one on it too!

    My moldy old girl

Really nice to see another one saved. Are you going to eventually put the urethane bumper back on?

    Converting drum to disc kits

Got mine done a few years ago, I also used the type that used the drum spindles with an adapter plate for the calipers. I paid a brake shop to do the work for me. The kit used the same brake pedal, but required a new hole be drilled in it about an inch lower for a pin to be placed in it that...

suggestion on how to remove mirror

Legend has it that the original poster ramair is still out in his garage to this very day turning the screw round and round and round and round with his screwdriver.....

Parts Wanted 71-72 front urethane bumper

Wonderful that the 7173 community has come through for you to get you a new bumper! If you are reusing the main bracket I would be checking that out for damage as well when you disassemble the bumper from the bracket. I noted recently that brand new main brackets are available for our cars. I...

Parts Wanted 71-72 front urethane bumper

To me your bumper looks like it has taken a hit to the front at some stage and which has "flattened" the angle. I say that because the one currently on my car looks similar, it's been pushed back about an inch in the centre and the unnatural backwards bend has caused slight distortions elsewhere...

1971 4 speed top loader Reverse Lock Out

There's a brand new one for sale on ebay, but you are going to pay a pretty penny by the time it is delivered here to Australia. >>>>> Lock out rod link <<<<< I have a three speed toploader in my car, I removed my lock out rod on purpose, didn't like my car dictating to me the conditions for...

    Crusing the boulevard

Heck no, I don't mind, if somebody says they are hanging up a photo that I've added colour to then it usually means I have done a decent job with the colouring! For this one I actually pulled a 1972 Mustang colour chart from the web and placed it next to the photo while I was working on it to...

    Crusing the boulevard

I colour old b&w photos for a hobby, here is my coloured interpretation of the original pic that Spike posted.

What AI did to my car......

I use Corel PhotoPaint x7. Here is another version, some colour temperature changes to make the photo more moody, and cropped somewhat to emphasise the car and to de-emphasise the lighting inconsistencies.

Boss 351 was one of the best muscle cars of its time - internet article

An interesting approach to an article, where the headline is "10 Reasons The 1971 Ford Mustang Boss 351 Was One Of The Best Muscle Cars Of Its Time" and yet two of the reasons listed ("Could You Daily A Boss 351" and "Ford’s Compromising Style") deliberately refer to the Boss as "a fat pig" and...

What AI did to my car......

It's just occurred to me that, with the new image retaining the car shape and shadows and perspective, with a bit of cut and pasting we can easily transfer our own car over the top of the AI car and into the AI generated background to give quite a dramatic result. Here is your car moved to the...
