    Level with me

OK, I put the level on the passenger rocker, where the "Ford" should be, didn't notice it was missing until now. The Rear of the car is to the left. My garage floor is level. I've raised the rear of my car about 3" from the stock level since I didn't like the look of the front appearing higher...

    Any love for Hi-Riders?

I'm with you on the look, the ass should be up a little more on an American Muscle car. I went the easy route and put air shocks on (yeah I know) to get the extra few inches I wanted. By the way the movie brought back flash backs and smiles of my days cruising in the 70's and 80's in muscle...

    Greetings everyone

Welcome from Olympia, as others have pointed out you can find your VIN# on the ledge under the driver's side fender near the strut tower. If the bolts aren't rusted, it's a really quick job of loosening them and then lifting the fender enough to see the VIN#.

    Post your Mustang Walk-Arounds Here!

Same here, it's tucked away in the far corner of the garage on a trickle charger until around April.

    Possible scammer?

It smells like a scam, don't put much faith in him if he does respond back with an MOS and unit, if it is a scammer he's savvy enough to use google to get the information he needs to answer any military question you may have. In most cases scammers will say they can't pick the car up themselves...

    Great Birthday Present

Thanks Mick, I'll be able to sleep tonight knowing the GTO survived it.

    Great Birthday Present

Wow, I hope they got that GTO down without damaging it. Can't really tell from the photo, plus the engine crane is lifting/supporting the leaning side but I'm wondering if it was a case of the garage floor not being able to support the compressed weight of the lift supports which started the...

First "real" pic with painted bumper

I like the whole look, especially the tough utilitarian "get it done" look of the black wheels and wide tires.

    Great Birthday Present

That is very nice, good job! Watched the demonstration video and noticed the guy almost forgot to put the parking brakes on before he lifted it. He was almost out of the car before he went back in to set them (hint, hint).

What steps to paint over original paint??

That car looks pretty darn nice to have it's original paint, not many of them left. Doesn't address your question but around here it would win more shows being a survivor than with new paint. I fully understand the owner wants what he wants, look like a very nice canvass. Looking forward to...

    German Ford Mustang Cop Car

From the article I don't think the German police are looking at putting them out on patrol, they called them demo cars for their "Tune it! Safe!" program. They say the car was tuned by Wolf Racing but it sure looks like something AC Schnitzer out of Aachen, Germany may have played a role in...

    German Ford Mustang Cop Car

I like it, from the article: For whatever reason, any car ends up being several magnitudes cooler once it's turned into a cop car. The result is the same even when you start with an already cool car, as evidenced by Germany's new Polizei Ford Mustang. The special Ford Mustang GT is the German...

Closed chamber heads straight swap from open?

Those are all good points, I spent more on the heads than I would have paid for a new set of alloy heads that would have no doubt been more bang for the dollar. I also spent more rebuilding my original Cleveland block than it would have cost me to get a new crate block. It all depends on where...

Closed chamber heads straight swap from open?

All good recommendations by Don, in fact I followed his advise when I had my heads done. Concerning the harden valve seats, the machine shop said he didn't feel they were needed but I went ahead and had them done anyway. Before After Completed

    Missed it by that much!

Sorry you missed out on that one. The body appears to be better shape than most start out with, I see a couple of thousand in parts alone.
