    Headers for a 429 CJ/SCJ

I never ran without them so I have nothing to compare them to. Reports from engine builders on the 460 board say the FPA mid-length headers are equal to long tubes up to 600-650 hp.

    351 4v heads

Not sure I would run those as is. It would be a bad day if a piece of that old epoxy breaks off and gets sucked into a cylinder.

What is the best rear axle ratio for our cars?

The gear ratios are almost identical between the FMX and T400. A stock trac-loc is more than adequate for street use. For a stock or near stock engine, gear ratio is largely a matter of personal preference. You can use any number of online calculators to determine your cruising rpm if you...

Might want to take a look at the fuel tank vent line that connects to the charcoal canister as well.

Lower control arm ball joint holes question

I agree that it will probably be fine but new control arms are pretty cheap and readily available. Just for piece of mind you might want to consider replacing it.

    Thoughts on Low Oil Pressure

You really need to put a gauge on it to see what the actual oil pressure is before firing the parts cannon.

    Lifter noise

New headers? Make sure you don't have plug wires laying on the tubes. If that is the case and one or more burned through, that would explain both the noise and the misfire(s).

    351C 2V Heads Help

As previously suggested by others, verify 0 degrees on the balancer at TDC and verify t slot exposure. I think the plugs are fouled because it is idling on the t-slot. This would also account for the off idle stumble. If those things check out try a blue pump cam.

    Lifter noise

Seems like more than just lifter noise. The way it shakes, it looks like a pretty significant misfire on one or more cylinders.

    429 SCJ Carburetor question

Not doubting you but that's the first I have heard that the Holley equipped 429 SCJ's had holes in the butterflies. There is no mention of that on the megasite and the one picture they have where the butterflies are visible there are no holes that I can see. To answer your question, you will...
