    Bob Perkins' 1971 Boss 302 - restored

I recall Marti had 2 reports for this car, one for each VIN. It is certainly a really cool story.

    Cooling help needed

I have a very similar setup in mine but have not started it yet. Dyno time only. I had a well known local shop put mine together. What water pump are you using? My builder strongly recommended the Edelbrock. Not cheap though. I have the dual fans and shroud and separate trans cooler. Many of the...

Another 71 ramair vert, bright red

Consider this the start of my next project. I have bought some sheetmetal and another member is providing his coupe so i can refresh and use the front clip and perhaps some other bits. This car was originally posted by Paul in MO. It went to another local guy and then I got it in trade. This...

    71 convertible

Got the trans lock out rod installed and working correctly. Also got the alternator tightened back up. I had to loosen it to get the header in.

Front torque box to frame corner brackets

So neither of my verts have these brackets installed that are on my Mach. There is no evidence the verts ever had them. It seems like it would not hurt to have them on a vert. It just seems odd to me considering the reduced stiffness in a vert that those corner brackets would be a nice addition...

Am I the only one that strongly dislikes these fender emblems?

I guess I am the oddball. I prefer the stock look whether it is a Mach 1 decal or the script Mustang. I like the original paint schemes and the original interiors. I prefer the MUSTANG individual letters on the 71 decklid over the script Mustang that I think kwas on the 72 but I just want that...

72 Q-code Sprint Sportsroof project in Colorado

I think the guy I got the sad convertible from (he got it from Paul in MO) got the Q code sprint FB. At least the one he got came out of CO. It is very restorable but needs quite a bit of work. Reasonably solid.

    It's baaaaccckkkkk!

So what would the NY state police say if he had installed new dynacorn apron assemblies that do not have VINs? Or what if he had installed the dynacorn assemblies but welded in his original VINs? The auto safety inspector, a mechanic at your local auto repair shop that is an inspection station...

    429 Fan Shroud

That seems like a really good price....now do I buy one? I don't need it but I am building another 460 and it will need a home .....was thinking Torino but another Mustang would be ok

    Are front torque boxes available?

Did you make the frame table or buy it? I would like to have one but kinda hard to justify for one car. At work they use gallons of dental cement to glue fixtures to the floor. I was thinking of using the rv leveling jacks to adjust and locate things after crudely locating them with jack stands...

I have a plan....executing it as planned? Let the comedy ensue

    Are front torque boxes available?

Did they have front torque boxes? I bought the rear with complete frame rails but they have not arrived yet

    Installation of 429/460 Hooker headers

Agreed. I had them on a 71 and then 72 back in the 80's and they DID get beat up. Will need to be extra special careful. I had to make sure car was turned even coming out of the driveway because of the curb

    Installation of 429/460 Hooker headers

If I had a somewhat mild build I would have found some manifolds. The engine is a 528-8V so it needs more than stock. This is my only somewhat radical motor.
