Replacing battery mount area of fender skirt

Don't worry about the power of your welder, I have had my 40 year old SIP out on a 75 foot extension cord on a 15 amp plug and the only difference is I have a shorter Duty Cycle time for welding...meaning I can weld about a 1/2 inch at full power as apposed to 1 or 2 inches. Good luck on the...

Replacing battery mount area of fender skirt

Since you are using a welder that can use flux core wire you need to check the polarity of the electrode. From the brochure it looks like it is set up for DCEP, Electrode Positive, but they may have set it up for DCEN Electrode Negative which is for flux core wire. Don't worry, your machine is...

    This wire? Number 469?

    Rear Power Window socket wiring

You have all the correct wires at the switch, the Yellow and Red needs to be in the middle bottom, the Red and Yellow top middle, the Yellow and Blue top left, the Red with Light Blue (Dots) top right, and the Red with Light Blue dashes in the bottom right. The first color is the dominate color...

    Rear Power Window socket wiring

The wires controlling your window motor need to be in the 2 center pins of the switch.

    Brake lights lenses

This is what I ended up doing, all the chrome parts were buffed up with 80 grit from the previous owner, should I have replaced them...? Probably, but I must have been tired of throwing money at the Mach that day. The SEM in the spray can lays down a lot nicer than the SEM in the quart can. I...

    Rear Power Window socket wiring

This is for a '72 but I think the wiring is the same. Usually when a window goes one way but not the other the ground in a switch is missing.

Parts Wanted '72 Mach 1 grille center bracket needed

Good luck on your search, I know it took me a while to track down a pair of hood lock brackets before they started re-popping them.

Parts Wanted '72 Mach 1 grille center bracket needed

Probably because I retired and got nothing better to do. I would just use some 16 gauge and make the two pieces, fit them in place then bench weld the two together until I found one.

    Carpet recommendation

I forgot to add, if you like your console screws find some sacrificial screws the same size for the locators.

    Carpet recommendation

I have put in two of the ACC carpet kits. Both with the mass backed. The second one gave me some trouble at the steering column. The seam lines up with the seat in the far back position. Not really deep under the seat, but you may be able to move it back an inch or two before it doesn't fit...

    Determine Value of 1973 Mach 1 With a 351M (Actually a 351C!)

No 800 HP here, I had a 4V Cleveland built to less than 400 HP, I think the C6 robs 60 HP or so...and the flex fan robs about 15 HP...? All in all I think I am getting less than 300 HP to the rear wheels. You got a head turner without having to burn the back tires off.

    Help Locating a Dead Short

Did you find that short yet? If not this is what I would do. Disconnect the positive side of the battery. Turn your meter to OHMS not the diode checker. That setting pushes more current through the leads to break a PN junction of a diode and will give you a false reading for small resistance...

    Determine Value of 1973 Mach 1 With a 351M (Actually a 351C!)

I agree with Hemikiller, it is a nice car for 51 years old. My 02H code has a ton of flaws to me, but the average person doesn't see any of them until I point them out.
