    I use the sfx 1500w cleaning laser. It works well on heavier metal you have to be careful with lighter metals because it can get them hot and warp them. On heavier rust it seems I have to go over it with the laser then a wire brush and do that a couple of times. It may not be as fast as...

    I replaced both front mounts and the ends of the cross support and cab corners. otherwise it was in great shape. Just a couple dents on the roof

    I’ve started on my 71f100 4wd. I’ve got the cab fenders and doors ready for paint. Shortened the frame for a shot box and starts cleaning the frame with the laser cleaner

    1.5 is 16 gauge most cheaper shrinker/stretchers are only good for 20 gauge. I can do 16 with mine but it takes some doing

    Is it a harbor freight tool. I’ve not used them myself but have heard they don’t work very well. Is the metal clean as no paint oil or ecoat?

    How deep are you inserting the metal flange. Try only inserting about half an inch into the jaws. They seem to work a lot better that way. I have a shrinker/stretcher from Woodward fab which is not a cheap one and that’s what I have to do with it

    I’d stick with the carb. More period correct and it’s a lot easier to grab a screwdriver to adjust it than get on a computer and tune it. Just depends if you’re a mechanic or a tuner. I have a Holley 750 and have had 0 problems with it starting or performing
