1972 Ford Mustang THE BAD ASS

I thought that was only urban legend.  lol  The 350 was only produced for a few days, and then they went to the 351 cubic inch size that we all know and love.  It is typed in the ad several places, and you'd think a car guy would know the correct engine size.  That has to be about the worst case...

I got a shock today retirement fund report.

I had an uncle who never married- he passed away a number of years ago. Engineer with Armstrong for most of his career, and a frugal guy his entire life so he had a lot stashed away. His $2 million in investments dropped to $1 million after the 2009 economic crash. But he was probably only...

I got a shock today retirement fund report.

Seems about right- my Profit Sharing / 401k account is down 9% YTD. I'm 56 so I don't plan on touching it for a while.

    Roof?

It's hard to see in your flatbed pic, but it looks like the vinyl roof is torn off a bit. How bad is the roof, and is it out of the question to repair it? I think I have seen some message threads where people repaired a roof that even had some rust holes in it. If you could do that then the...

I said it last year. Will Winter ever end?

No kidding!  In eastern PA we had nothing, might have been mid-30's overnight though.  In fact the entire winter I think we had something like 0.2 inches of snow, one of the lowest snow years on record.  We had some fairly warm days over the past few weeks.  Now this week the weather is toying...

    Elementary School Parade

That's great!  These brightly-colored vintage musclecars are like their own three-ring circus on the road.  Mine always gets thumbs up, yells, people walking over at the gas pump, etc.  The regular landscape of cars out there on the road is a boring group of white, black, gray rolling jelly bean...

    Spray Bomb Travesty...

It really is a shame to think that this car lived its entire life in a natural state, only showing a little surface rust on the underside. Then the dealer goes and screws up that natural state with spray cans. I really don't understand the logic of painting the visible part of the drive shaft...

    Elementary School Parade

This was a great idea. I see no problem with everyone driving around and not getting out of their cars. One of my 14 year old daughter's friends had a birthday this past Sunday. So rather than getting together with her at her house, which isn't allowed of course, the parents drove her friends...

    She's a 4-spd...

You know I never looked in the trunk since I was around 8 to 10 years old.  lol  Probably just the spare tire and jack, etc.  You see they could easily pitch things into the back seat without opening the trunk.  I worked at an auto parts house in the early 80's and they had a four bay shop in...

    She's a 4-spd...

The thing is, one of my aunts/uncles back in the 1970's had a nice Cadillac where the interior looked just like that. The entire back seat anyway. They had a house and two businesses, but were just not very organized people. When they would pick me up I'd have to sit in the back seat with it...

    Gas prices your area

I'd have to think that with almost everyone on lockdown, they still won't able to raise prices very much due to low demand, even after SA and Russia cut production.  Also, the oil price in western Canada is down to around 7 bucks per barrel.

Their healthcare isn't free however, they are taxed out the wazoo for those items.  So you're paying for it one way or the other.  Wealthy Canadians will come to the US for immediate service for special procedures rather than being on long waiting lists in Canada.  Granted, in the states if...

Bilstein DIRECT FIT 71-73 front shocks now available.

If you are running the 5-leaf springs in the rear, your car does not seem to sit too high at all.  That black with no side stripe is awesome.  I had a few black cars and they were a nightmare to maintain (daily drivers however).  A bunch of guys on the Ferrari forum have used ceramic coatings...

    Hello from Downunder

Awesome collection! '69 is my next favorite year. However after pricing a '69 Mach 1 big block, I think I'll stay with the '71. lol

    Gas prices your area

$1.85 where I am located- the suburbs outside of Reading.  PA has 58.7 cents of gas tax for each gallon, highest gas tax in the nation.  And for what, I really don't know.  Supposed to cover fixing the roads, which are a wreck, but I believe it pays for the state police.  Something like that...

"The car is equipped with a 351 Cleveland Contra Jet motor...". Does anyone here know the history of the Contra Jet motor? Perhaps the car belonged to Oliver North at one time. ;)
